Dino Dash
Summary
Play as a cute dinosaur named Dino, run as fast as you can from the meteors that are threatening to kill you off.
You reckon you can take 6 hits before it's too much to handle.
Use your shield to defend yourself from meteors and rocks but careful because using your shield will drain your score!
Enter yourself onto the global leaderboard!
Controls
- A - Move left (menus and dino)
- D - Move right (menus and dino)
- W - Move up in menus
- S - Move up in menus
- Space - Turn shield ON/OFF
Notes
Sometimes the pixel scaling isn't working as intended, if so try zooming your browser out a few clicks with Ctrl - I've found 80% works best for me

I liked the idea of being a dinosaur running from meteors though it seems i extinct myself too fast. xD The global high scores didn't work out for me but i had a lot of fun (:
Fun game for sure- I love the dinosaur and the zoom out while still adhering to the restrictions is tough to pull off, but you nailed it. Nice work!
Cheers! Yeah the zoom out was a feature I definitely wanted so you could get a nice big view of the screen, sadly you just lose a bit of definition on the dinosaur itself.
Just wondering, how did you add the leader board?
The leader board's nothing special, I'm using http://dreamlo.com/ to host the scores and using a modified version of the Unity asset for dreamlo to load/add scores.

Nice dude, yeah I was about 30 minutes before the Jam deadline when my friend complained the game was too easy so I upped the difficulty without too much testing. I think I overshot it just a little haha
This was fun, I really liked the graphics. I do wish that the dino's movement back and forth was a little bit more snappy, as it was difficult to dodge the meteors.
Ahh yes, I agree. Any advice for how I could make it more snappy?
Yeah, I would just increase the acceleration a bit.
